I am a self-taught photographer and abstract artist from Nepaug, CT. Art has been a means of expression for myself as long as I can remember; I received my first digital camera as a gift at 10 yrs old.
Photography as a medium allows me to capture moments frozen in time, indented with my own perspective, with attention and emphasis given to interesting form, color, and natural light as the sun changes positions in each day’s sky.
I paint primarily as a means of expressing emotion; the use of color and texture is cathartic to me and I approach each painting as a meditative release of whatever it is that I am feeling and must express on the canvas. I am inspired by music, botanicals, wildlife, and deeply rooted and intangible existentialism.
